Due to unforseen circumstances with the atrium renovation, PSC Library is closed for in-person services. Librarians are available to answer questions virtually through email or the "Chat Now" button at the bottom of the page. Electronic resources (ebooks, databases, etc.) remain available.
A library card is required to check out books. Library cards are also needed to reserve items. The loan period for most items is three weeks, with two renewals. For more information see the Borrowing Materials Policy.
Books checked out the library may be returned at the campus library or at any other I-Share library SWAN libraries. Patrons can check their library record by clicking Sign In in PrimoVE and then clicking on Student/Faculty/Staff Login. You can also check on holds and renew loans.
Use the I-Share catalog to find books, ebooks, and audiovisual materials the Prairie State College Library owns. You can also browse and request materials from over 90 academic and research libraries throughout the state of Illinois.
Use WORLDCAT to search for library materials in the United States. You can request materials from any I-SHARE library using the Request a Book Form.
Use OverDrive to browse and check out the library's collection of ebooks and digital audiobooks, both fiction and non-fiction. You can then read or listen to any of these titles on your computer or suported mobile device.
Ebooks on EBSCOhost provides you with frontlist titles from the world's leading publishers to complement any library collection need. Users can access the full text of ebooks from their computer, or can download titles to most popular portable devices.
