Requesting ILL items

  1. Check the library catalog or Publication Finder to see if PSC already has the the items you want.
  2. If you can't find them through PSC, use the forms linked above to request items. Paper forms are also available at the Circulation Desk and Reference Desk.
  3. Wait up to 14 days for your items to arrive. You'll be notified by e-mail or phone when your item is ready for pick-up.
    • If we can't find a library that will fill your request, you will be notified.

Returning ILL items

If you were sent a digital copy of an item, it's yours to keep.

If you got a physical item, like book or DVD, the lending library will set the rules for how long you can have it. These rules are usually written on a strap that is placed around the item, along with the due date.

Please return the item to PSC on or before the due date. If you need to renew the item, please contact ILL at 708-709-3553 at least 1 week before the due date. Late items, damaged items, or lost items will be subject to the fines and penalties set by the lending library. You will be responsible for these fines and penalties.

Interlibrary loans are subject to Copyright Law of the United States, the Interlibrary Loan Code for the United States, and regulations set by borrowing and lending libraries.

For questions, contact  ILL at (708) 709-3553.
